Andrew Trites, Choir Director
Mr. Trites is excited to join the team at H.B. duPont this year. He has six years of experience teaching middle school choir in the state of Texas. Mr. Trites holds degrees from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS (Bachelor of Music Education) and Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX (Master of Music in Choral Conducting). Choirs under his direction have achieved success in concert, festival, and contest, including the UIL Concert & Sight-Reading Contest. Mr. Trites has relocated to the Wilmington area to be with his fiance Brigid, a Hockessin-native who now works for Johns Hopkins University. In addition to choir and teaching, he loves music theatre, classic rock, and rooting for his Hometown Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. Mr. Trites also enjoys travel, recently visiting the Outer Banks with his fiance's family, Hawaii with his family, Italy with the Stephen F. Austin State University A Cappella Choir, and Philadelphia with his fiance.
